The two senior officials from the Parliament of Ghana whom are on a study visit in Namibia to learn and familiarise themselves with the Parliamentary system of Namibia as from 14-18 August 2017 paid a Courtesy Call to the Chairperson of the National Council, Hon. Margaret Mensah-Williams on 15 August 2017. Hon Mensah-Williams informed Robert Apodolla, Deputy Clerk and Samuel Addei Principal Assistant Clerk from the Parliament of Ghana that it is of great essence that African parliaments share and transfer skills and knowledge with each other. She also spoke about the importance of grooming young people for leadership positions and encouraged African leaders to first look at the needs of the people on the ground and make laws that are in the best interest of the people.
On their part, the visitors expressed enthusiasm in all the activities and systems carried out by the Parliament of Namibia as well as the Law-making process of Namibia.
