Non-Resident Palestinian Ambassador, H.E Hashem Dajani presents gifts to Deputy Speaker of National Assembly , Hon. Loide Kasingo

Non-Resident Palestinian Ambassador, H.E. Hashem Dajani yesterday paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Loide Kasingo.

The two’s discussions focused on deepening the engagement and cooperation between the National Assembly and Palestine. The Ambassador extended an invitation to Members of Parliament to visit Palestine in order to gain more understanding about the country and its current political situation.

In the meeting, a wide range of areas of common interest including political, trade, safety and security and economic issues were raised especially political challenges that Palestine is currently experiencing.

 

H.E Dajan stressed the need for Palestine issues to be discussed intensively on international and regional platforms such as the Pan-African Parliament, “as an active member of the Pan-African Parliament I sincerely appeal to you to put Palestine issues on the agenda,” stressed Dajan. In return, the Deputy Speaker assured the visiting diplomat that Namibia’s solidarity stands with Palestine.
