Senior Staff of the National Council together with Members of the Ministerial Implementation Team (MIT), are meeting to formulate and craft a new Strategic Plan for the 2022 – 2027 period.
Prior to the pre-working workshop meeting currently underway, the respective Directorates within the institution had one-on-one sessions with the consultant, in which the phasing out plan of 2017 – 2022 was reviewed, and key issues were identified, to help formulate a strategic plan that will be responsive and effective in providing the necessary support to Members of Parliament in the discharge of their constitutional mandate.
The exercise is aimed at guiding the team to capture comprehensive information and statistics on the implementation of the outgoing strategic plan and identify the gaps, lessons learned as well as identify institutional or individual recommendations for effective strategic plan development and implementation going forward.
At the end of the consultative meeting, there will be a strategic formulation workshop, the drafting of the strategic plan, a validation meeting and then finally, a presentation and adoption of the final Strategic Plan.
The formulation of the new strategic plan is being done with the assistance of our development partner, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) with consultant, Mr. Emmanuel Mnzava, facilitating the process.
