Personal Born on 22 August 1943 at Onyaanya ,Oshikoto Region
Education Attended Onyaanya Primary School, Oniipa Boys’ School, Engela Boy’s School ,Ongwediva Secondary School and Oshigambo High School. In 1965 he left Namibia and relocated to Zambia where he studied at Nkumbi International school and at the University of Zambia (UNZA). He obtained a Master of Arts Degree (M.A) from Columbia University, New York.
Career 1976, He was appointed as an International Civil Servant, In the middle of 1982 assigned as Secretary for Education and Culture.  He became the first minister of Education, Culture and sport in March 1990. In 2005-2012 he served as the Third prime Minister of Namibia. 2012 he became a Minister of Defence where he worked until 2015. He is currently the Chairman of Sam Nujoma Foundation and Community Skills Development Foundation.
