Windhoek – The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Country Representative in Namibia, Frey Gruenhagen paid a Courtesy Call on the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Prof. Peter Katjavivi yesterday, (01/06/2021).
Their discussion centered on several areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two institutions. During the visit, the Speaker said “I am conscious of the need for us as an institution to find time to put our hands together with EFS, on issues pertaining to partnership that we normally revisit to make sure that we strengthen those activities that linked us together.”
On her part, Gruenhagen said that she was delighted to meet the Speaker, and pledged her support toward the activities aimed at fostering partnership between Parliament and FES. The FES office in Namibia was established in 1989 on the eve of Namibia’s Independence, with the aim of promoting democracy, development, social justice and peace through capacity-building, policy research, public dialogue and international exchange.
