Story by George Sanzila Windhoek - Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), Advocate Notemba Tjipueja in the company of ECN Chief The 48th SADC PF Plenary Assembly virtual session hosted by the Democratic Republic of the Congo has just started. The assembly will be officially opened by the Guest of Honour, His Excellency Prof. Sylvestre Ilunga Ilunkamba DRC Prime minister, representing H.E. Felix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Other Speakers during the opening will include SADC PF President, Hon. Esperança Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias who is also the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique and the Regional Women’s Parliamentary Caucus, Hon. Ann-Marie Mbilambangu. Among issues that will enjoy prominence during deliberations is the election of the SADC PF President and Vice President for 2020 to 2022, motions on the condemnation of terrorist attacks in Mozambique and the impact of African migratory locusts on agriculture and food security in Southern Africa among many others.
