WINDHOEK- Members of Parliament from both Houses (National Assembly and National Council) recently attended a training on Governance and Sustainable Development Agenda, in Otjiwarongo.
The workshop aimed at empowering MPs to appreciate the meaning and value of public Governance; the centrality of accountability and ethics to public governance, amongst others.
Parliaments and parliamentarians have a critical role to play in spurring and sustaining national action toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and can be powerful agents of change, particularly during and after times of crisis.
